VerticalWave Solutions is based in Toronto, Ontario and offers software development services & web technology consulting which include web development, ecommerce website development, website maintenance services, content management development & customization, rich internet applications design and development and search engine optimization and marketing.

Established in early 2005, VerticalWave Solutions is operated by a group of enthusiastic and experienced technology professionals that strongly believe in the future of the internet and its potential for business growth. By using the latest available web development tools and methodologies, we make sure that all of our projects are finished on time and on budget with a quality that always meets and often exceeds our customers’ expectations.


Meet the team

Lawrence Grigorescu - Principal | Operations | Business Development

Lawrence holds the role of project manager and oversees the overall activity of the company.
He has almost 10 years of experience in the online industry and has held various development positions (Senior Developer, Team Lead, Project Lead) with companies like Click Commerce Inc. in Chicago, IL and IP Marketing Inc. in Toronto, ON.
His experience includes working on multiple web projects for top Fortune 500 companies like Bombardier, Motorola, Kawasaki USA, Mitsubishi Electric and other.

Alex Holetec- Team Lead | Project Management

Alex, holds the position of project team leader and software architect. Alex has more than 5 years experience with software development life cycle projects working with various programming frameworks and enviroments.
Alex’s development passions and strengths are Java, Flash and Flex, but he also works with .Net and other technologies on a daily basis.
Alex comes from a strong programming background having held senior developer and team lead positions with top Toronto development firms. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from York University.

Bogdan Dobro - Senior Developer

Bogdan, our senior developer, has 5 years of strong web development expertise. He’s our PHP and content management systems (CMS) guru. He’s held positions of Web Developer and Senior Developer with Toronto area web development firms, but decided to join the VerticalWave team since 2007.
Bogdan holds a Masters in Computer Science from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iasi, Romania.

Christina Malvento - Developer | Themer

Christina is one of our web developers, she has more than 3 years of web development experience and she is very passionate about open-source software. She has recently joined our agency and we’re very happy to work together with someone like Christina.
She hold a B.Sc. from Ryerson University.

Brian Alston - Developer

Brian has also recently joined our company as a developer. Brian has been working in web development for a number of years and he brings a great deal of experience to our team. Brian holds a B.S. in Computer Science from York University.

Dragos Grigorescu - Developer | Web Design

Dragos occupies the position of developer and also participates in the web design process with VerticalWave. His passion for the web and new technological trends is shown in his amazing project work and creative delivery.

Michelle(Mishu) Dirlea - Web & Graphic Designer

Michelle’s our web design and creative person. Her passion for photography and web design is often seen in the successful outcomes of all of our design projects. Michelle decided to change her freelance web designer status and join our team and we’ve never been happier ever since. She is our muse.
Michelle holds a B.Sc. in Psychology from University of Toronto.

George Craciun - Content Producer | Creative Writer | Translations

George is our content & SEO guy. He’s the one that makes everything sound good and articulate and helps with the text & search engine optimization for various projects. George has a background in journalism and publishing and speaks 4 languages fluently.
He holds a B.A. in English and French Studies from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iasi, Romania.
